Beta Events are the first stage of WeirdCo's pre-release programme, running for two weekends so stores can schedule around their own calendars.
The format is sealed deck: you turn up, buy a Beta Event Kit at the store, and it contains everything needed to play, including Booster Packs and promos. Backer status is irrelevant, which makes this the first broadly accessible source of sealed Beta product.
For collectors that matters twice over — it is an entry point to sealed Beta packs, and the promos in the kit enter circulation in numbers set by how many stores run events.
